OUR STORY:
A proud family-owned business for the last 35 years in Pompano Beach Florida. Originally founded by Terry and Caroline Stewart. Terry Stewart (a.k.a. Stu) originally came from ARA Temperature Control parts in Miami. Stu and Caroline started Cruise 'N' Cool as a small Automotive A/C shop in Pompano Beach in 1968. Throughout the years, they earned the trust and respect of this local community. Although Cruise 'N' Cool has been a successful business from day one, after 27 years of hard work, Stu and Caroline lead themselves towards retirement. Deciding the future of Cruise 'N' Cool was difficult. They wanted Cruise 'N' Cool to stay as a family-owned business. This is when Richard Lieberman approached his aunt and uncle with an offer to buy their business. Caroline didn’t hesitate with Richards offer. This now brings us up to date and seven years later where Richard (a.k.a. Rich) Lieberman stands to be the new proud owner of Cruise 'N' Cool of Pompano. Although Rich has made some new improvements, he has managed to keep the original format that his proud aunt and uncle created. Owning several different businesses himself, Rich has claimed Cruise 'N' Cool to be his favorite hobby.
Rich Lieberman greets his customers with kindness and sincerity making sure that the quality of the workmanship is to their satisfaction. This is his #1 priority along with keeping the good reputation that Cruise 'N' Cool has accomplished throughout the years. He is known to personally pick up and drop off many of his customers and take them to their destination for their convenience while working on their vehicle. He is staffed with only ASE certified mechanics that are highly qualified. In my observation during this interview, I witnessed many responses of Cruise 'N' Cools happy customers. The one that impressed me the most was Mr. Stevens. He approached Rich and thanked him for having such a generous and highly qualified staff. Mr. Stevens was amazed at the fact that Tom Fuller (mechanic) and Carey Showalter (manager) went to Mr. Stevens work Friday afternoon in the worst thunderstorm conditions this year. “I couldn’t believe it when I stepped outside after work my car window motor was fixed and I didn’t get wet driving home.” Tom and Carey both were there on the job with a blue tarp to prevent the rain from seeping inside the car. Although Carey took it upon himself to make the decision of assisting Mr. Stevens on his unfortunate situation, it is not customary for Cruise 'N' Cool to go on-site to fix a vehicle and did it at no charge. As you can see from this story, Cruise 'N' Cool does not only focus on just Auto A/C. Cruise 'N' Cool services many Auto Dealers, Freightliners and Fire Trucks. > Because Cruise 'N' Cool is an owner-operated business with low overhead, is the reason why Cruise 'N' Cool can offer the most competitive prices. They install anything from Power windows, Cruise control, Alarms, Radios and much more. Cruise 'N' Cool is certified on installing The Air Bag Cut-off Safety Switch for those who have infants or shorter elderly people who need to drive to close to the steering wheel and want this option.
The Cruise 'N' Cool family have satisfied so many customers throughout the years in Pompano that Rich has presently opened a new location “Cruise 'N' Cool of Wellington”. Overall, Cruise 'N' Cool is a successful business containing very professional employees, Evelyn, Carey, Tom Fuller, Tommy (A.K.A Sparky) and McCoy. They all seem happy to work alongside a very kind and generous businessman who never forgets to thank each of his employees individually for the days work.
I’m not easily impressed, but as a new Cruise 'N' Cool customer I can tell you first hand that I left with a very big smile on my face. On a more personal note, those of you who are not yet familiar with Cruise 'N' Cool, chances are you can ask your neighbors.
